In general, there are two types of swimming pool designs: inground and above-ground. Both swimming pool designs and plans have their own characteristics, as well as their advantages and disadvantages. To find out which one is the right choice for you, we will share some highlight for each of them for you to consider when making decision.

Inground and Above-Ground Swimming Pool Designs

Ingroundswimming pool designs, in general, can add value to the home, especially in a predominantly warm climate throughout the year. They can enhance the landscape with pleasing scenery enjoyed from inside the home or from outdoor rooms. However, inground pools are expensive, both for initial expenses during installation and for maintenance. Fiberglass inground pools are popular, but there are concrete and granite as your alternatives.

More affordable and quick to install is the above-ground pool. It takes only a few days to finish installation and above-ground pools can also include railing and decking options if you choose the higher-end options. Even so, they do not add value to the home in general. And unlike inground pools, swimming pool designs are usually available only in either 48 or 52 inches deep, making the options are much limited
